No, nothing could be saved.
This happened about a month ago and I talked to Alain a couple times
since then. He went back to the site with Louis and they tried very
hard to find anything at all. They found what was once a very nice
large slice of Esquel, but half-melted, twisted and the crystals had
all popped out, also a very large slice of Campo, also twisted, melted,
barely recognizable. And some fragments so badly burned that it was
impossible to identify them.
So, nothing that will re-appear on Ebay!

And all that for a case of mistaken identity.

Wow this looks terrific. I only hope that some of Alain meteorites
survived
this hell and can be recovered.
What a unnecessary lose.
