Hi,

I believe the largest single stony meteorite ever found was a 1770kg
fragment from the Jilin meteorite fall. On March 8, 1976, a
fireball with several explosions was observed in Jilin, China,
followed by a shower of stones. About 4 tons of meteorite fragments
were recovered including the record 1770kg fragment.

Can someone confirm?

Ron
