Mendy,

Actually 1MB is NOT reasonable ... for the webb or phones/pads. The resolution on these are such that there is really no difference from a 60-110KB pic and a 1MB, no difference in 'clear and sharp' of the images due to the resolution of the device. If one is downloading your message on a phone/pads, the download time difference is dramatic.

As to "One of the reasons the list is inactive is what used to be the inability to add images", an even greater source is the 'attitude' of too many long-time posters, their language, and the arguments. For a number of years I had a info sheet that I provided to customers at mineral and fossil show with sources for additional information about their purchases. Initially I included meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com list. After too many complaints from returning customers, both in person at later shows or via e-mail, about the list, I was forced to remove meteorite-list at meteoritecentral.com from my information sheet.

Just my thoughts .. no additional charge!

John

>15MB is quite reasonable considering the number of attachments and quality of the images. I just checked and the largest file is 1MB which is super reasonable. If you do not wish to clutter your inbox or your computer's memory, then just delete it. One of the reasons the list is inactive is what used to be the inability to add images. Seems like now we can for which I am very happy. Only reading about meteorites may be fun for some, but also seeing pictures that are clear and sharp is way more fun for most.
