The only "Martian" that has ever killed--or is likely to kill--an
Earthling was the Nakhla (sp.) SNC meteorite which struck and killed a
mangy dog in the village where it fell. And then to claim that the
dog's killer was in fact a "Martian"--a stone-faced Martian at
that!--you have to unquestioningly accept the conventional wisdom that
SNCs are genuine Red Planet ejecta. (Mmmm, does anyone have a
bibliography of technical papers which challenge the theory of the
Mars-origin of SNCs?)
