From time to time there is a small battle over placing ads here.
I have set up a mailing list at ONElist called meteorite_sale this list
is for posting wants/sales/trades of meteorites or other objects of
interest to the meteorite collector. This list may be used by individual
collectors. Dealers may post when new/rare/noteworthy* items are
available.(*noteworthy includes price reductions of at least 25%)

To me this seemed a good solution, if you want to receive advertisements
you could join the "meteorite_sale" list. If you want to advertise you
probably want to advertise to someone who is interested.(Otherwise,it's
just SPAM)
Now that Art has banned most ads, the "meteorite_sale" list should be
able to fill this niche. There are almost 100 members on the list now
out of the ~300 on Art's list.(Is this a vote of 2 to 1 against ads?)
There have been ads on Art's list lately by people that did not join
the "meteorite_sale" list, why?
I get nothing from Onelist, I make no money off it in any way, I just
wanted a list for ads and the spat over them to end.
