     I'm confused by the last two postings.  Did the  3 dealers jump in and 
     buy their Portales at inflated prices (at the risk of selling at cost) 
     just to keep their competition from getting the subsequent resale?  
     This would be unfortunate enough (for subsequent buyers), but your 
     statement below in your last posting suggests conspiracy and price 
     fixing.  We must go slow here.

The greedy agreement made between 3 southwestern 
meteorite dealers to inflate the Portales price should be
delt with! I have information that there are locals still holding 
on to their specimens.
Anyone have any ideas of what we should do?
