Another Theft!

Greetings,
I have some unfortunate news to report:
H.H.Nininger was a College instructor at McPherson College during the
time he launched his new career in meteorite recovery and study.
He donated several specimens to the McPherson Museum and Arts
Foundation. On July 5,1998, it was discovered that 4 of their meteorites
had been stolen. The thief(s) had rearranged the cabinate display and
removed the identification cards to disguise the fact the specimens were
missing. It is estimated they could have been stolen up to one year
previous to discovery this last July.
Should anyone run into any of the following specimens, please contact
Brett Whitenack at the Museum at (316) 245-2574 or at his home at (316)
241-7600.
---
#1) Johnstown: Diogenite, aprox. silver dollar sized slice 1/4 inch
	thick. Aprox. 50 grams.

#2) Holbrook: Chondrite (L6), aprox. golf ball sized or slightly
larger. Aprox. 120 grams. (Nininger donation).

#3) Potter: Chondrite (L6), aprox 2.5 inches diameter fragment,
	184 grams. (Nininger # 476.86)

#4) Brenham: Pallasite, aprox. 13"" X 11" X 3/4" 8.8 kilograms.
Nininger donation. Completely stable, zero "lawrencite disease."
Coated with shelack that is somewhat yellowed with age.
---
The recovery of any or all of these would, of course, be greatly
appreciated.
	Best wishes, Michael
