Hi Juris,

One thing I forgot to point out is light pollution will and does have an impact on how

faint of viewing of objects you can see at your observation site. That would effect
the number of true sporadics you can see also. Most of the midwest and eastern part of

the country has a lot of backwash so to speak. There is a very bad strip from Chicago,

northern Indiana all the way to New York which as some of the worst light pollution
(defined as man made light shinning up and out so as to reflect back and reduce the
background darkness). Their are pictures of this at the IDA (International Dark Sky
Association) site on the web which show these patches of light in north america and of

course the rest of the world.
