Purpose:

We will discuss, followed by PIECE'99 (1999 in Yamaguchi University),
impact-related events, especially on East Asia, Southeast Asia and Pacific
rim (Japan, China, Taiwan, Mongolia, Thailand, Mexico, U.S.A. and Canada
etc.), by invited foreign researchers from North America (University of New
Brunswick etc.).

Outline of Symposium:

For two days including presentations and field meetings, we will discuss on
impact-related events in the world and Japan, and Pacific rim (China,
Taiwan, Mongolia, Thailand, Mexico, U.S.A. and Canada etc.), shock
metamorphism, geological boundaries of KTB and PTB, and impact materials of
tektites, amorphous glasses, quasi-crystals, spherules, iron meteorite
particles of archaelogical iron/bronze products, and chemical evolution of
life materials.

Situation:

Due to SARS problems in the world this year, we plan to organize it on
November, 2003 by delaying two months of planned date from last year
preparation. As it is limited by financial and time constraints to organize
this fiscal year, we are only invited a few researchers, but we are eagerly
asked to join this meeting and submit by abstract/poster presentation for
further developments and cooperations.

Oral and Abstract only presentation:

IEJSAP'03 is also accepted poster or abstract paper only presentation.
