Hi Jeff,

I think, it's weathered out - better "washed out" - matrix material, which has also removed some larger chondrules. Some ordinary chondrites - like Bjurb?le or Saratov - got very soft and powdery matrix material. Chondrules can easily be removed from these meteorites.
