By Alison Vekshin

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Mike Ross, D-Prescott, endorsed government plans for a
tracking system to trace the movement of cattle throughout the United States
in light of the discovery of a Holstein with mad cow disease in Washington
state.

Ross said he was cooking hamburgers on the grill at his home in Prescott
when the news broke.

"We still had hamburgers for dinner that night," he said. "The odds of
being hit by a meteorite are much greater than anyone in America dying
of mad cow disease."
