Just to add, while a landing site inside a newly formed crater may not be the
best place to hunt for tektites, perhaps Martian tektites will go a long way
to further supporting -if not by Spirit or Opportunity- someday) that Earth
tektites are cased by meteoritical impacts...and perhaps tektites there are more
common than meteorites per se. Something additional, the rovers can be on the
look out for...(how well can glass be interpreted with Spirit instruments?)
