Who of the *r e a l* high rollers regarding privately owned meteorites in
this world will fully and publicly tell you quantities or qualities, for
reasons whatever...?? I mean there are definitely quite a bunch of
collectors around with collections truly deserving an adjective like
"giant". Some of them are shy and won?t talk about it at all, some of them
are modest and won?t talk about it too much in the public, others raise
their voice much too loudly, some may know this list, some not....

"The largest in the world", sort of a "world-record-collector", makes no
sense in this respect. And it definitely is not only a play of numbers, but
instead much more adds to a qualification which may come close to what you
are musing about.

P.S.: to me (subjectively, of course) Bob Haag still is the ultimate
collector and undisputed highest of all the living high rollers which I know
of in this field. This has not only to do with his enormous collection
figured in numbers but what he eventually *d i d* as a frontierman
especially in the (non-internet-)years when many of us even did not even
know how to spell the m-word. He obviously is not on this list, as he
probably doesn?t care for this kind of communication, whatever is going on
here every now and then. On the other hand there are lots and lots of other
high rollers, but then again numbers alone don?t count...
