Hi
Some time ago I win from FinMet cool iron-rich slice of my favorite
"pallasite" Shirokovsky.
I buy it for 2 reasons:
1) becouse its cool looking and different from all other slices I know
2) to check what will happend if I try etch it.

So when It arrived I make my duty. I used 5% solution on mirror polished
surface.
Top part become mat/dull verry fast but bottom part is still like before,
mirror

My question is what it is ? Why this pattern looks like this ?
