This is a 475 gram meteorite from a 4000 gram lot I bought on Ebay last year.
To me, it seemed to be the most unusual looking one in the group, with the
surface covered with "bumps". It is mostly covered with secondary fusion crust,
with a flattish "bottom" of primary fusion crust and it had a single flat
broken, weathered spot on the "top" which I attacked with a bit of sandpaper.
The sanding wasn't enough to penetrate the weathering, but it did expose shiny
metal centers to each of the black blobs, some but not all of which are visible
in the photos. Does everyone think that this is just an ordinary chondrite, or
maybe something odder? Since this a fragment of a larger fall, anyone else have
a piece that looks the same?
