Below is a link to a nuclear-blast produced glassy object. Other materials
such as trinitite (glass from an atomic blast) have some properties similar
to tektites, but these properties are mostly limited to surface features.

I suggest reading O'Keefes work on the subject of tektites. Although he is
in disagreement with most others about the origin of Tektites, his science
and descriptive works are excellent.

It is also worth viewing the tektite infromation in the Meteorite
Exchange's Tektite Catalog in order to appreciate the range of tektite
forms, colors, and locations of origin.
