Re: underwater meteorites




Any other divers out there?   Let's grab our regs & u/w detectors and get to 
work!
I think Bora Bora might be a good place to start the hunt....

Bjurbole was recovered from the bottom of the Gulf of Bothnia
off Finland.  It fell through sea ice in 1899.  I've often wondered
whether this has anything to do with its friability.

El Tannin was recovered from a deep-sea drill core in 1981, and
represents a large oceanic impact.
